Windows 10: how do i reconnect history file drive windows 10?

this same question is asked over and over, but there are no answers! where is the support for this? any time i have a problem and i try to get support, there is none, just bounced around. i usually have to go to community (thank goodness for ya'll) but what exactly do we pay microsoft/windows for? with the new and improved site i cannot find anything. definitely not any help from microsoft support.
