Windows 10: How do I recover a file that's entirely deleted?

Hello.Yesterday I accidentally deleted a file and by mistake emptied my recycle bin, and I didn't create a backup. How do I recover it?I tried installing an app called: "Windows File Recovery" from the Microsoft Store, but I do not know how to run it. The program has two modes, the regular mode and the extensive mode. Use the regular mode to scan for files that have been recently deleted, and the extensive mode to search for files lost long ago. The basic format is: "winfr source-drive: destination-drive: /switches". Example:-"winfr C: D: /regular /n MyWork\*.jpeg" and then hit enter. But ther

Thanks for your reply. I used my m8s program and it worked like a dream, recovered all the files and also deleted ones from yrs back, was amazed how well it did. Next step is i will use that Partition Table Doctor to recover the deleted partition. Thanks for the link *Toast :toast:

I use Pandora Recovery, I always delete using shift-del so I had similar problems when accidentally deleting files, I am always using Pandora to recover files and so far I get all of it back.

The largest one that I recovered was my whole steam folder. I accidentally uninstalled it(I thought you would be given the option to backup your games. but it didnt)
