Windows 10: How do I recover a password for a brand new account?

I was setting up a user for my daughter to use on a new laptop. I created the account. I tried logging in and it says the password is incorrect. I go through the recovery process and recieve an email saying I didnt provide enough info. It is a brand new account. I have only used one password. It has never recieved email. The account has never purchased any microsoft products. HOW CAN I RECOVER THE ACCOUNT WHEN IT IS BRAND NEW???!!!!

Recover Microsoft User Account Password

The only way to recover his account password is to reset the password of his Microsoft Account. To do so you require access to his phone or email account.

If you have access to neither of these, you may have to create a new User account using the media creation tool.

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

To open System Properties and check the version of Windows, follow the steps below:

1. Open Run Command (Windows button+R).

2. In the dialog box type control system and hit enter.

If you are using a Microsoft Account to log into your system and you are unable to change the password, then I would suggest that you sign in online and change your password. Follow the steps below to do so.

• 1. Click on the link below to open the Microsoft site, and then select
  Security & privacy.

  Enter your current password, then the new password you want, then enter the new password again.
