    How do I recover files that were copy and pasted across file disks?


    My dad went onto my computer to move files from one disk to another, and went I got back on to check it my computer was missing a lot of things. All of my icons were gone, most apps or downloads said they were empty links, etc. I freaked out for a moment but found all my files and folders and whatever on the other disk, I just had to run some stuff as administrator to access them. However, recently, I got onto my Krita app that had been moved and had to be run as administrator for the app to open again, and saved some new art that told me it had supposedly saved to its normal Krita file. But
