Windows 10: How do I recover files that were not restored from the recycling bin?

I accidentally deleted a photos folder from OneDrive.I went to the recycling bin and the photos were there.I restored the folder but when it was done restoring, the folder was there, the subfolders were there, but the actual photos were all gone.The folders are empty. The names of the folders are there but they show zero bites used.Do you know a way to recover files in such situation?has anybody experienced something similar?

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
• Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
• Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.

Create the Recycle Bin again or r"Recover deleted files"

To restore files from your Recycle Bin in windows. open the Recycle Bin

select the files or folders, you want to recover. Then right-click them

and select Restore. The file or folder will be restored to its original folder

Show or hide the Recycle Bin

1. Select the Start  button, then select Settings .
   
2. Select Personalization > Themes > Desktop icon settings.
   
3. Select the RecycleBin check box > Apply
   

 

How to recover files deleted from One drive recycle BIN

Once you delete files from the recycle bin, it will automatically go to the second-stage recycle bin. Here the files will be retained for another 30 days.

To recover files from Second-stage Recycle Bin:

sign into http://www.onedrive.com

Step 1: Navigate to the ‘Recycle bin’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Second-stage recycle bin’ option.

Step 3: After that, select the files that need to be recovered and click on the ‘Restore’ button placed at the top of the screen. All the selected files will be restored to its original location.
