To TINHi TinSorry for the delay in getting back to you, Took some time and the previous thread wouldn't let me reply.I worked through your suggestion as below with a small change as the rmdir command was not accepted with /s or /q for some strange reason but it worked without and wasn't verbose. but it returned d----- showing that the permissions were not set ...so OK.PS C:\Users\pfitz> rmdir C:\mount PS C:\Users\pfitz> mkdir c:\mount Directory: C:\ Mode LastWriteTime Length Name ---- ------------- ------ ---- d----- 20/06/2025

    :)

  2. Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

Windows 11 safe mode boot missing Startup Settings option

We are deploying new desktops with Windows 11. I was writing up procedures for booting in safe mode in Windows 11. There were many options to get to Troubleshooting option but all methods had steps :

    1. After the computer restarts to the Choose an Option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
When I select the Troubleshooting option, my Advanced Options screen does not have a Startup Setting option. My only options are Startup Repair UEFI Firmware Settings

    Command Prompt System Restore

    Uninstall Updates System Image Recovery

How do I boot my Win 11 PC in safe mode from a cold start?
