Windows 10: How do I recover my C:\ drive after hitting the clean command

I was in command prompt. Using the administrative command prompt running off of boot x I thought I selected disk 2 but was in fact the C drive . I typed clean and found out when I rebooted that I had cleaned the wrong disk. I have hirens boot c d It has all kinds of tools can I use this to recover the C:\ doesn't even show up

My c drive is a lot small than before. Is their a way to put the partitions i used for linux back in to my c drive.

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

Kindly try the steps below and check if this helps.

Open run command with Admin prompt, Right click on
Start and select Command prompt (Admin).

Step 1:

• Type diskpart and hit enter.
• Type "list volume" and hit enter to list all the volumes.
• Now select the volume which you want to delete from the list by typing
  "select volume 5" (give volume number which you want to delete).
• Now delete the volume by typing "delete partition override"

Note:

It is not recommended to delete Recovery partition. It contains all the recovery files to recover our system if it got corrupted.

Step 2:

• Open disk management by typing diskmgmt.msc in run command.
• Right click on C: drive and select Extend Volume to add space to C: drive.

Can't access c drive folder after a PC reset

Kindly let me know if you are trying to Create or copy a file to C drive or it is not allowing to open entire C drive , if it is not allowing to open C drive kindly do the steps below

Follow below steps

Type “command prompt” in search (no quotes).

Right-click Command Prompt from the list, then select Run as Administrator.

Once Command Prompt is up, paste the following command followed by hit enter

net user "Administrator" /active:yes

Once you complete the steps, you can sign out of the current account and sign in with the Administrator account.

Then run below commands one by one followed by enter in elevated command prompt again

takeown /f C:\ /r

icacls C:\ /grant administrators:F /t
