Windows 10: how do i reduce folder c:\programs\windowsapps in size ?

Discus and support how do i reduce folder c:\programs\windowsapps in size ? in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; my windows 10 prof laptop has 170 GB harddisk. the folder c:\programs\windowsapps contains 72 GB of data, and my disk is now full.     how do i reduce folder c:\programs\windowsapps in size ?


    my windows 10 prof laptop has 170 GB harddisk.

    the folder c:\programs\windowsapps contains 72 GB of data, and my disk is now full.

    How do i reduce the folder ?

    I have deinstalled many of the windows apps, but it did not reduce the folder size.

    WindowsApps folder says permissions are corrupted and need to be deleted, is this normal or critical?

    According to your description, I suggest you try the following steps:

    1. Navigate to the location C:\Program Files.
    2. Right-click on the WindowsApps folder, and select Properties.
    3. Turn to Security tab and click on Advanced.
    4. Click on Change and then type Users in Enter the object name to select area.
    5. Click on OK, then click Apply > OK. You can also add the TrustedInstaller to the users list and check if it takes effect.

    However, you might be still not able to access the files. The workaround is to go inside the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\, and repeat the same way with the Microsoft.WindowsStore* folders.

    Unnecessary apps in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

    I see a lots of versions of the same app in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. These are apps that I don't even have installed. Overall they are taking up about 10GB.

    1. How can I remove these apps completely?
    2. Or can I keep only the most recent version?

    The storage sense
    suggested here     or disk cleanup of system files has not helped.
