Windows 10: How do I reformat a hard drive and install Win10 with a USB created with MediaCreationTool22H2

I just want the computer system to recognize that the setup.exe file on the USB should be executed when the computer is powered on,However, when started the hard drive will not move past the Lenovo logo. However, using the little Lenovo cheat button I can get to the list: * Normal Startup - just moves to a blank screen with revolving circle ad infinitum* BIOS Setup - reset* Boot Menu - set to boot from USB * System Recovery - Lenovo has several menu choices from the function buttons: - F10 - Edit Boot Options Edit Windows boot options for Windows Setup Path: \windows\s

Win10 empty hard drive

My hard drive which had win10 died. Since it was an out of warranty dell and I don't seem to have any install disks fr win 8, I was trying to make an iso on a flash drive to install on the new drive. However, EVERY time I use the win10 media tool I get
that 08XXXX error. It will download, just not create the usb drive key.

Any suggestion?

 

Creating a bootable USB to reformat the C: drive and then re-installing windows 10 on an Acer tablet

I have a virus on my Acer tablet which I have been unable to get rid of by using the Factory Reset or the Fresh Windows 10 reinstall options.

I need to do the following:

1. Create a bootable USB which will allow me to reformat the C (hard drive): prior to Windows starting.

2. I also need to create a Windows 10 installation USB from

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10.

I don't know if these 1 and 2 can be combined on one USB or not.

I have another tablet that I can use if that can make the process easier.

I need to know how to access the Bios so I can change the boot order. Remember the tablet does not have a keyboard. I think the 2nd option when not choosing the first option is Factory reset allows you to reboot the tablet to the bios.

1.In summary I need to boot to a USB which allows me to reformat the hard drive and re-install windows.

Please do not make any assumptions. I need specific step by step instruction and if possible pictures when referring to actual icons.

For some reason Windows 10 started re-installing instead of creating an installation USB.

 

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk
