Windows 10: How do I reinstall Microsoft store?

Hello, over the past few days I have started to use my dormant 4 year old pc to start gaming again. While trying to install games from gamepass, I was told my xbox app was out of date and to try to update it. It would direct me to the Microsoft store and show me that it was attempting to update the app but would never get above 0%. After doing some digging online, I was told that the app was corrupted as when i tired to view the apps settings the settings screen would flash then stop, and I could not find the app in my applications. After following a guide online, i had found a way to uninstal

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

To resolve your concern about Windows Store, we suggest for you to follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + R key to open Run.
• Type wsreset.exe and press
  Enter.
• Restart the PC, sign in with your Microsoft user account and check if you are able to find Windows Store.

Did not work for me. I troed it 3 times, allways got an error.
