Windows 10: How do I remove a prior main user administrator from my HP desktop windows 10 computer?...

I can not change the current PC administrator, it shows me no option to remove or delete the current user account. I am unable to change the name, the email address and everything. No matter what way you try to go around it, there's been no way to my knowledge to change, delete, remove, or edit anything about the current administrator

Removing a prior user from Windows 10

User profile cannot be loaded because all profiles were removed. What we need to do is to boot your computer in safe mode and enable the built-in administrator account to create a new user profile. Follow the steps below to perform these actions:

Step 1: Boot your computer in safe mode with networking.

From the sign-in screen.

Step 2: Enable the built-in administrator account.

• While in safe mode with networking, open an elevated command prompt by typing
  command prompt in Cortana search box > right-click
  Command Prompt > select Run as administrator.
• Type Net user administrator /active:yes and press Enter.
• Click the Start button and click Administrator.

Removing a prior user from Windows 10

None of the above worked because there was no Cortona search box that appeared. In addition, an error message appeared: "explorer.exe - System Warning. Unknown hard error. OK". Clicking OK brought things to a halt.

However, one of the options that appeared as I followed the Start you PC in safe mode instructions (Press shift while engaging in Restart >Troubleshoot>Advanced Options was to Restore. So, I simply restored my system since I had backed it up by establishing
a restore point per the earlier instructions, and now I have an operational computer, but one that still has the former Administrator in its system.

So, the question remains, how do I remove the prior User without going through the hassle I just experienced?

Removing a prior user from Windows 10

I just purchased a slightly used Lenovo Ideapad FLEX 14-1470 (still in its warranty period), and although I have changed the prior owner's name as Administrator to mine, his name still appears in the User Profiles, e.g., "DESKTOP-72-----\His First Name".
I tried to edit the Registry to remove his user name from from the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList, as one of my online queries to Microsoft Support suggested, but I can't find a folder with his user
name, and I don't want to remove the ProfileList key for fear of messing things up. I barely know how to start a computer much less deal with its software.

Can anyone suggest how I can erase his fingerprints from my computer?
