Windows 10: How do I remove an SMS group from Phone Link?

I am involved in a group sms - messages sent out go to everyone in the group - messages sent from anyone in the group go to everyone else in the group. I cannot send a message to an individual in the group without it going to everyone in the group. I will select a single contact to send an sms to, and despite their being no indication it will be sent to the group, there will appear to be 2 messages sent - 1 to the single contact, and another to the group. How do I stop this from happening?

Group SMS

by default Outlook Mobile does not support distribution lists o sending sms to groups. Luckily there is group sms that you can try. I haven't tested it though. http://www.smartphone-freeware.com/download-group-sms-v1-4-1.html

 

Can't group SMS

I just got a new Lumia 928 and I too am having this annoying feature of sending to many people and receiving back replies only to me from each person sent to and not receiving replies with visibility to the entire group - the issue is the same when i receive
a group text and do not initiate it- all replies to the group come to me only from the text sender.



I just followed your suggestion and went into Settings but do not have a choice available to turn Groups off. (my selection choices are:

• Text Message back up
• Chat back up
• SMS Delivery Confirmation
• MMS delivery confirmation
• Send MMS acknoledgement
• Lets Sender know that you received the MMS

Any suggestions - i do hope this is something i can switch on or off to fix as this is really annoying.
