Windows 10: How do I remove/change administrator email on windows 11

Hello MicrosoftI have administrator email on windows 11 and someone hacked into my email and changed password and I can not acces this email anymore. I dont feel safe having this email as my administrator email on my windows computer.Can you help me and explain how can I change this old email with the new email I created and completly remove any trace of old email from my computer. Please help. I do not feel safe.Thank You

The account you are speaking about is it a Microsoft Administrator Account or a Local Administrator Account?

  If it is a Microsoft Administrator Account then Password cannot be removed.
  
• 
  In order to remove the Password Protection for a Local Administrator Account you would need to Enable the Build In Administrator Account. This will help you in removing the Password.

  To Enable the Build In Administrator Account Please follow the below steps:

  Press Windows Logo + X
  
• 
  Click on Command Prompt (Administrator).
  
• 
  Type: net user administrator /active: yes
  
• 
  Hit Enter

Change of administrator on Windows 11

Hi,

I am planning to change my administrator account to a new Microsoft account on Windows 11. I am confident on technical steps but I have a question on consequences. What I mean by that is: when I change my administrator account,

• do I lose some data?
  
• Can I access the data from the previous admin user folder? etc.
  

May I request you to help me with the points where it could go wrong and lose my data or access to the data please? Thanks in advance.

 

I want to change the administrator email on Windows 11

I recently purchased a new laptop with Windows 11. Previously I was using Windows 7 so I have never had a need to set-up a microsoft account, which I had to do when starting and setting up my new laptop with Windows 11. I set it up with an email address that I will no longer want to be associated with a microsoft account, including the administrator account on Windows 11 and microsoft. I have already created an "outlook.com" account. I have also purchased Office 365 with the outlook.com account and downloaded it to my new laptop. At the instruction of a microsoft support person, I have gone through the process of "marking that account for closure". However, that original email is still the email attached to the administrator account for my Windows 11 account. And, even when I am signed into Outlook email program with the new outlook.com account, when I click on 'Onedrive"(on the side bar in Outlook) to access this service, it directs me to sign in with the email account I want to be rid of, the account that I have marked for closure..... this same account(email address) is showing as the administrator email. I don't want to create another account and then promote it to administrator as doing so will cause me to lose all of the files etc. that are associated with account that is now the administrator.

How do I change the email address on the administrator account on Windows 11 WITHOUT losing any of the items that are attached to that account e.g. desktop, files, downloads(including Office 365) etc.? Could you please provide me with an easy to understand comprehensive(in layman's terms) step by step instruction of how to do this?
