Windows 10: How do I remove EVERY non-essential program/bloatware/pop-up from new laptop + best settings?

Hi everyone - my girlfriend has a brand new Dell Vostro 3490 i5 / 256GB SSD/8GB memory laptop arriving next week that she intends to use solely for work. She can't afford a macbook right now and has had so manny slow laptop issues recently, so this new one need to be as easy as possible to use without slowing down to give it the best chance it can get.

1 - Is there a way to remove everything from the computer that isn't necessary before she starts using it (i.e. pop ups, games, 3rd party adverts and bloatware etc etc. She JUST needs to use Office, Dropbox (which she will be selectively synching), and social media/brower stuff for her job.

2 - Is there anything else I can do to the laptop out of the box to speed it up / help it along the way?

Any help with this would be so useful as I'm really in the dark here (mac user for 16 years). Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your replies.
I didn't remove ANY of those programs - it was more the Windows 10 bloatware that I got rid of.

I've had a look at how to do a factory restore but can't see how to do it if you can't log in to Windows. Does anyone have a suggestion?

The bloatware programs of any ASUS laptops are listed here in the link below. It's also got a nice program to tell you which to remove and which you shouldn't and also the ability to choose which you want to remove or not.

You should be careful though, you might end up bricking the system again after recovery.

You can also use PC Decrapifier to scan bloatware off your system and does the same thing.

 

Bloatware

I finally received my Dell Laptop. It came with little bloatware and I am very surprised with it. So far it works flawless. However, the bloatware that it did come with, I would like to know if I should remove it.


The following is the list of bloatware:


1.) CyberLink Media Suite Essentials
2.) proDAD Adorage 3.0

Should I delete these 2 items?
