Windows 10: How do I remove my family group?

My mom has removed me from the family and I have removed myself from the family. Not only that but, I am 18 and my birthday matches in my account. Even through all of that my computer still says my things are managed by my family group that doesnt exist. Its very frustrating and everything I see that microsoft had already published I have done but nothing has changed. Please help.

I went to the link that you suggested. The most applicable section was 'Add People to a home PC'.

I used the procedure under "If you need to remove that person's sign-in information from your PC:".

Step 1; Successful

Step 2: There is no Remove option for that user; only Change Account Type and Allow

I also clicked on the Manage Family Settings link and the were were no users listed other than me (this is expected since there are no other users other than me.

I then restarted the computer and went through Step 1 again. The user was still under the Family group.

Any other thoughts? Thanks.

 

Family Organizer Leaving Family Group

Glad to see you in Microsoft Community.

• If Mother was the administrator of the Family Group, you can exit the Family Group directly, and Mother will automatically become the Family Group organizer.
  
  If you want to stay in the Family Group, you need to rejoin, either as an administrator or as a regular Family Group member.
  
  Visit Getting started with Microsoft Family Safety for more details.
  

• If Mother was already a member of the Family Group, you need to remove her from the Family Group, then add it again, and need to select "Administrator" when selecting the role.
  

Meanwhile, you can dissolve the Family Group, and then let the new organizer send an invitation to re-establish the Family Group. Visit Leave family group or remove members (microsoft.com) for more details.

Can't remove child from Family group

Hello all,

I can't remove a child from my Family group.

I go to...

https://account.microsoft.com/family/home

... then click on the three dots by the child's name, followed by, "Remove from family group". It then says, "<snipped> Ask the family organiser who granted xxxx consent to remove xxxx from the family group.". However, the Family Group main page lists me as the Family Organiser!

Any ideas?
