Windows 10: How do I remove my windows 10 home cover so I can get into the system?

My cooling fan 90b isn't working I know that cause a few days ago it was making a buzzing sound. Yesterday I turned it on but upon start up it didnt make any odd sound so I thought It must've been gone, A message then appears on my screen with a black background telling me my cooling fan wasn't working properly. So to check it out I tried opening my laptops cover, I took out all the screws but I can't get the cover to come out... the device I'm currently using is a Windows 10 home and its about 3 years old.

Windows 10 on Surface Pro 2: runaway system processes when keyboard cover removed

Happens with my Surface Pro 2 and Type Cover II, and it is also happening with Windows 10 fresh install. I have confirmed that the reddit suggestion of killing thw Windows Driver Foundation proc stops CPU and the stop/start of SPOCJS clears memory, but
the second I remove the cover, both kick in again.
