    How do I remove the authenticator program that attached itself to my Amazon account?


    In the last week, I have been hacked numerous times. They hacked my bank account to the tune of $2,300, putting that money into one of my credit cards, probably to use the credit card because they probably didn't have the proper credentials to take the money out of the bank. They also hacked 2 of my credit cards, and hacked my Amazon account twice, the second time they somehow attached an authenticator program to Amazon I had already recaptured Amazon and changed the password. Amazon has escalated this issue up the chain to the next level for resolution. My question is: I don't rememb

    Microsoft Authenticator-add up a new account for Amazon

    Hello There,



    I ever used Microsoft Authenticator for Amazon's Two-Step Verification after which I uninstalled the app from my Android phone without a backup (because I failed to make a backup since there was always a mistake when I tried to do so). Yesterday I
    re-installed the app on my phone, but there is no info of my Amazon's account on the app, so I was not able to get a One Time Password (OTP) when Amazon asked me to provide it when I tried to sign in.



    Then I tried to add up a new account for Amazon, but the app required me to scan a QR code or input account name & key. The question is I did not record the QR code or the key when I processed Amazon's Two-Step Verification. I then contacted Amazon's
    customer service, they could only change password for me but it still asked me to provide the OTP generated by Authenticator when I try to sign in.



    It seems I should turn to Microsoft. Basing on the above info, is there a way to recover my account?

    I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
    To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
