I updated my machine yesterday and now all my dropbox icons have a briefacase logo in them and i cant open any of them

What I was doing: I exported some folders from my outlook email to my OneDrive, this was just a test so I deleted the file after

Issue:

When deleting the file I noticed there are now briefcase icons attached to all my documents and folders in my OneDrive. It also appears on files that I download from a shared server on my domain and in the right corner of my internet address bar when I'm
on an internal site. When I'm on any other site the briefcase turns back into a padlock. Anything I have signed into with my internal Microsoft ID (corp) adds this tag to it, including Skype conversations.

What I've Tried:

Unjoining and rejoining the domain

System restore which keeps failing

Searched through the properties of the folders or files that have the tag on them - all settings are the same as normal ones. aka network path is not shared, advanced sharing box is unticked, Security section shows my alias as the owner.
