For us to give you an effective resolution, can you confirm if this is in regards to the Quick Access Toolbar? If yes, Quick Access Toolbar is an integral part of Windows and can't be uninstalled permanently. However, you would be able to customize it to
your liking by following the steps on this link
Pin, remove, and customize in Quick Access.

Remove Quick Access Toolbar

Hello rsny,

If you like, you could remove all items from the Quick Access toolbar to effectively remove it other than its menu arrow.

You can either right click on it and have it stationed below the Ribbon, or, you can try "OldNewExplorer" and disable the Ribbon altogether showing the classic Command Bar.

I got the program, and played around in it, and narrowed it down to the attached picture. I put a red box around what I want to remove, yet I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. I like things nice and simple to the eye.

 

No can do! It's either that or the Ribbon. Sorry mate!

 

Okay thanks for the suggestions. Anybody else have an ideas/apps that could do that?

(In the past, I've seen the arrow taken off somehow on Windows 8.1. Maybe somebody has seen/knows how to do that).

 

Referring back to my latest image upload, I thought that there was a way to remove that thing I put in the red box. Can anybody figure out how to do that for me please?
