Windows 10: How do I remove these annoying corner icons in Windows 11?

In the desktop, there used to be small icons in the corner of shortcuts that showed if it was backed up to OneDrive or not, just a simple small check. Now, It's a much larger "box" icon and even on the non-backed-up icons, the icon in the corner was made larger and green. What I am wondering is how to get rid of them. Screenshot not included because it failed to upload.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

File Explorer-How to Remove View Icons in Lower-Right Corner

File Explorer has two icons that are used for changing the view (file display), located in the lower-right corner. One icon changes the view to Details and the other changes the view to Large Icons.

However, they constantly interfere with my ability to scroll down to the bottom of the page/list. If I do not release the scroll bar just before reaching the bottom, the scroll/mouse location jumps back up and I have to repeat the scroll-down. Is there anyway to remove those icons? I don't use them and I find them very annoying. It happens all the time.

Safely remove hardware icon

Hi Cynthia,

For us to properly isolate the missing "Safely Remove Hardware icon" issue, we would like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
• When did the issue first begin?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Normally, this icon isn’t missing and it’s most likely hidden in your Taskbar. To reveal this icon, you may click the arrow in the bottom right corner to show more sysbar icons. If it is available, you may pin it to your Taskbar by following the steps below:

• Connect a USB flash drive or any other removable storage to your PC.
• Click the arrow in the bottom right corner to expand the sysbar section.
• Now locate Safely Remove Hardware icon and drag it to your Taskbar.
