Windows 10: How do I repair DirectX 12 if the DirectX Installer says that I already have the last version

After running diagnostics, I have detected that one of the .dll components of DirectX 12 is corrupt, so I need to reinstall DirectX 12.The problem is that DirectX 12 comes pre-installed with Windows 10 and cannot be uninstalled. When I try to use the DirectX installer, it detects that I already have the last version and cancels the reinstallation.How can I fix this? I see that I lot of people have the same problem and no one has found the solution. Some say tricking Windows 10, so it thinks that you don't have the last version, but is that even possible?

DirectX Version 12 not working

i have upgraded my laptop with windows 10 using windows creater update. i runned few directx digostics tools and it shows Directx 12 version is installed, but when i try to open few games, its saying it needs atleeast directx version 9 to open the game.

In windows updates it shows that my system is up to date and with the directx web installer it says that I am running the latest version of directx. All my friends PCs are running directx 12.

my system specs are:

windows 10 pro 64 bit

intel i5 3rd gen 3230 2.6Ghz

2GB NVidia GeForce gt 720M

2 GB intel hd 4000

8 GB DDR3 RAM

1 TB harddisk

my pc is from Lenovo. (my friend with Lenovo pc is running directx 12).

hello, I am David and I wanting to know how to install directx 12,

now I do have windows 10 so on my laptop but when I went to see what directx I have it was saying I have directx 10 version
