Windows 10: How do I repair my Microphone Realtek High Definition Audio

I tried the set as default way, Running a Troubleshooter and updating the drivers. Yet none of these ways work for me. It used to work perfectly fine yesterday now it's broken. I really need help with this.

Realtek High Definition Audio not working

First of all, the Realtek High Definition Audio Device did not automatically reinstall after uninstalling and rebooting. I had to go into Add Legacy Software and select it to install. The Device Manager crashed while installing it, which it always does.
Upon starting it up again, the Device is there, but with a warning sign next to it indicating it is not functional.

Second of all, when I did the rest of the steps, the Driver Manager told me specifically that the drivers for Realtek High Definition Audio Device are up to date.

Realtek High Definition Audio disappeared?

Hello! When I went on my pc today, all my sound devices worked fine (both of my monitors had audio and so did my headphones). Then suddenly my pc didn't detect my headphones or my second monitor. I looked in the device manager to see if something was wrong and I noticed the Realtek High Definition Audio driver has completely disappeared from the list.

The only sound drivers on my pc now are:
7.1 Surround Sound

NVIDIA High Definition Audio

NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

I have tried:
Restarting my pc (numerous times)
Restoring my pc to a backup a few days ago

Unplugging my headphones & second monitor's audio cable

Installing the Realtek High Definition Audio driver from their website

Can someone please help me figure out what's wrong & how to fix it?

 

Realtek High Definition Audio

Download a newer version of the driver from the realtek website, install it and check if the sound comes back.

If not, uninstall the realtek Driver by:

• Open device manager
• Sound Video and Game controllers
• Right click realtek high definition audio device and select uninstall driver software
• Make sure the checkbox "Delete the device software for this device is checked"
