    I use a PIN to log in to my normal Windows 10 account, but I would like to require a password to log in to Safe Mode, without the option to use a PIN.

    I know it’s possible because it used to be the case about two months ago on my computer. I could use any login method for regular Windows 10, but if I wanted to get into Safe Mode, it required a password exclusively, and there was no option to change the login method from the Safe Mode login screen. In other words, if I wanted to use Safe Mode, I absolutely had to know the password; entering a PIN would not work.

    Now, however, when I go into Safe Mode, there is an option under the password field that lets me choose to log in with a PIN instead. I don’t want that option in Safe Mode. I want a password required for Safe Mode, but not required for non-Safe Mode.

    I’m talking about Safe Mode with Networking, if that makes a difference.

    I’d very much appreciate any help with this!
