    How do I require password/pin when I put my PC to sleep or when it goes to sleep and wakes up?


    I use to have this setting on before but I'm not sure what happened and I'm playing around with the power settings and I'm just not able to recreate it again so it's just better if I ask here. Anytime my PC went to sleep, the moment I turned it on or woke it up, the password screen would come up. Now something happened with an update possibly. Sometimes, I don't even use my PC for awhile and when I wake it up to use it, it does not even ask for my password. I'm already logged into my desktop. I want to set my PC again so that whenever it goes to sleep whether I myself click the sleep button or

    Windows 11- How to enable "Requires Password when PC wakes up from Sleep" ?

    I can't find the option to enable "Requires Password when PC wakes up from Sleep" on Windows 11.

    What it does it, every time the PC goes to sleep, if I wake it up, then it should ask me for Windows password or Windows Hello PIN.

    Maybe you have something configured to sleep when idle. Check that on your power settings.

    In windows 10, when i put the computer to sleep...it wakes up fine (no password required). However when windows goes into sleep by itself after inactivity, it always requires a password...even though NO password is required in control panel settings...I've
    tried different power settings, etc to no avail. Any suggestions?
