    How do I reset Windows, keep my files, no password?


    I forgot my password. It's a local admin account, not connected to my Microsoft live account. There is no other admin account. Tried booting into safe mode with command prompt, can't access command prompt without admin password. Tried reset and keep files, can't without admin password. Tried looking online, all the guides I found don't mention Windows asking for a password to get to command prompt or reset while keeping files, they just go straight to those chosen options. There's a possibility I removed the password some years ago, but it won't let me in to anything with that field blank. The

    BTW, there's no jumper for a password reset in Windows.
