Windows 10: How do I resolve an error of creating a mirror image onto the wrong drive?

Hi everyone,I have a problem with my new PC that am hoping I can fix without having to buy another new PC. The PC has been built with the following:64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 11 Version 22H2Microsoft Home and Business 2021Storage: 512 GB M.2, PCle NVMe, SSD + 1 TB 7200 RPM,HDD.I made a major goof. I was creating an initial full image onto an external drive for my backup. I was not paying attention. I managed to save the full image onto the D Drive and not onto an external, E drive. Now I have the entire image residing in two locations. What a

Can't create mirrored drives

I've been trying to create mirrored drives using two Seagate 5 TB drives ( Disks 4 & 5 ) that have the same available space. All goes well until I get to the very last step and I get the error message "The operation is not supported by the object." Is there something I'm doing wrong? I start with two drives whose space is unallocated and follow what the "wizard" tells me to do.

I have done the "short" reformat several times on these drives as that is one of the options that's checked in the "wizard". I'm currently doing a complete reformat of these drives. Yes it will take some time but not likely as long as you suggest. At some point I'll know for sure.

All of the tutorials I've seen start the mirroring process with drives that are unallocated. From what I've also read, unallocated is just a state in which there has not been a volume assigned to that space and have seen no mentioned of a relationship to formatting. I've been able to create simple volumes with both drives and store test files on them as well as delete those volumes to create unallocated space. If I try to create the mirror with allocated space, the mirror option is greyed out. What am I not understanding?

I can understand you are facing some issues with Mirror drives.

Are those Two new Drives Internal or Old Drives ?

Please check event logs during Mirror creations.

Please try to Re-format both Drives then try to create Mirroring.
