    How do I resolve the 0x80240fff windows update error?


    Hey there,I bought a new computer for my company D Chel Valves https://dchelvalve.com office work and now I'm having problems updating Windows. While updating to Windows 10, an error occurred. 0x80240fff is the error code. However, after a lengthy search on Google and Bing, I discovered this website, which provided a reasonable solution to my 0x80240fff error windows update problems.Please assist.Thank you.

    Hello,

    Since 26 may 2016 many people have this code error 0x80240fff when they recheach updates.

    It happens to new computers with fresh Windows 10 version Build 10240.

    Some have a Fix with "defer upgrade" option, but she's not in Home version.

    Hi Tiribos and welcome to Tenforums.
    If I understand you correctly, you have 10240 on your "W10 Home" system, and the error happens when trying to update to the November 1511 release, correct?

    In this case, the page previous to the one you link, has the answer:

    Use the ISO's to do an In-place upgrade.

    Media creation Tool is now updated with Version 1511, OS Build 10586 of Windows 10.

    Then do an InPlace upgrade using Method 1 from here:

    The size of the update through Windows update and ISO are nearly the same.
