How do I resort back to Win 7?

The last up(?)grade left me with 1 of 2 choices.

The upgrade left me with 1 of 2 choices - either "Shutdown or Repair" followed a few hours later with "Repair failed - please run repair, or shutdown."

To make a long nightmare short, and days that turned in to weeks with "support" the conclusion by Microsoft is "You were misled by the agent. I'm sorry you lost your son's wedding pictures. I'm sorry we cannot help you." Short version ''pound sand''.

I cannot trust Windows 10 again - ever, let alone trust ANY Microsoft agent and I don't want that computer-busting Artificial Idiot accessing MY computer again. Not Windows 10 O/S - none of the Win 10 Stalkers, peeps, or pervware looking over my shoulder. I am buying Win 7, and which leads me to my question:

What ports do I need to block in order to stop Microsoft from ruining my data again? Or, how might I block all Microsoft incoming Stalkers, bloatware, and computer-busting updates? I do NOT want them forcing another Win 10 on me again.

    Thanks

    :)

  2. Win 7 and NVidia overclocking?

Just curious how you Win 7 users are overclocking your NVidia cards. Riva Tuner won't work. Any suggestions?

  3. Chipset drivers for Win 7

Yes, just use the Vista x64 drivers. Should work.

  4. How do I resort back to Win 7?

Lumia 1020 running Win 8.1 is not detected by my desktop (Win 8.1) and laptop (Win 7)

    Hello,

Since 2-3 weeks now, I have not been able to connect my Lumia 1020 phone to either of my machines (Win 8.1 and Win 7). Not sure what changed with either of the devices in the meantime.

I have a Lumia 1020 with the following configuration:

    - Carrier: AT&T

    - Software: Windows Phone 8.1 Update

    - OS Version: 8.10.14203.306

    I've tried:

    - Steps listed in here:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2749484
    but with no success.

    - Soft-resetting the phone but to no avail.

    - Turning the phone all the way off. Connected the phone to the PC but drivers did not load

    - Running Microsoft FixIt tool

    - Steps listed in several other communities related to other users having similar problem with their Win 8 phone

Also, I do not see my phone name listed under System information. It shows my phone as an Unknown USB Device with an Exclamation mark.

    Any suggestions/help?
