Windows 10: How do I restart my computer after it has been Locked with a blue screen?

My MSI laptop just got a blue screen with Locked written on the screen and then it shut down. I am unable to reboot the computer regardless of how long I hold down the power button. At the time it shut down, I had just turned it on and it was running on the battery, which was fully charged. The fan may have kicked in, but I'm not 100% sure of that. I tried restarting it with the adapter plugged in and still it won't start. I also may have had a windows update with the last week.

Let us try the below steps to unlock and check if it helps.

• I suggest you to restart the computer, try to unlock and check if the issue persists.
• Use On-screen keyboard to type in your password and check if it helps.

Click on the Ease of access on the lock screen at the right-bottom corner, turn on
On-screen keyboard to type the password.
