Windows 10: How do I restart Windows Hello?

I'm having some recurrent problems with Windows Hello that prevent me from logging on using my fingerprint reader.

In logon page I have a "Something went wrong on our end. Please try again." message.


Currently the only way to restore a working condition is a reboot.


I would like to try to stop and start the service responsible of Windows Hello services particularly related to fingerprint logon. Which service should I restart?


P.S.: [COLOR=rgba215, 57, 0, 1]I DO NOT have a Surface[/COLOR]. Therefore do not post link to solutions that are strictly related to a Surface hardware e.g. detach and reattach Type Cover.

Hard drive/ OS issue

a guy suggested :

• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
