Windows 10: How do I restore shortcut to play folders of mp3 files with Windows Media Player Legacy

I use Windows Media Player Legacy. I have a large digital library of music. I used to have albums, then tapes, then CDs - now I have folders. I am having a difficult time playing folders. To play a folder, I used to right click the folder and a pop up box would open and one of the choices would be 'Play with Windows Media Player.' That option is gone. When I right click on an audio folder containing mp3 tracks I now get no 'play with' option. I get 'Open,' several other choices, and 'Show more options.'I have two choices from here. Can't play MP3s in Windows Media Player

Hi all,

Since I've updated the Windows 10 I've been unable to play MP3s via Window Media Player.

When I try and play any MP3, I get the following message:

'Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file'

The files worked fine beforehand, and I can also play them via VLC player.

Any suggestions on how to get them working with WMP again?

My keyboard only has play and stop hotkeys, using Windows Media Player is there a way to make a keyboard shortcut to skip track, even if media player isn't the primary window?

deleting podcasts from my mp3 on win 10 media player

4. Right click and select delete the music files or folder.
