Windows 10: How do I retrieve overwritten OneDrive files if it's already been over 30 Days?

Hi, so I have a Windows 11 laptop with OneDrive installed. I use OneDrive to keep personal documents and files, as well as to transfer information between my devices such as my iPhone. I transferred photos from my iPhone 14 Pro onto my OneDrive and it overwrote some of my photos. It showed me a little notification on the bottom right hand corner showing overwritten photos in the form of JPG files. I think I didn't have enough storage space on my OneDrive, due to the 5GB limit, causing the overwrite to occur. And it looks like it's already been more than 30 Days since I don't see that notificat

Important files overwritten by older versions on OneDrive

Hello,

I keep track of some finances on an Excel spreadsheet. I save it locally in the OneDrive folder. So everything is supposed get synced with my OneDrive storage in the cloud. I did this for the last 4 to 5 years.
Yesterday I had to switch my computer to a new one. I checked my files in the OneDrive folder, they were all synced in the cloud, online was everything perfect.

I started the new computer, fresh installed everything, and connected to my OneDrive account.

The problem is that all my files were overwritten by versions of those files from months ago both online and in local OneDrive folder.

Everything I did in June/July/August is gone and can't find it anywhere. All my files look like the last time I edited them was in June.

This is wrong in so many ways as there is no way I haven't saved that file within the last four days as I've been constantly on that file and made numerous updates for the past months.

I use the basic version of OneDrive, the free one.

Windows 10 version 2004 (OS Build 19041.450)

 

How can I retrieve overwritten/deleted files?

In trying to install a fresh version of windows 10 on my laptop. I backed up my personal files/pictures etc on a usb. I then downloaded the media creation tool on the same usb. It seems that by running the media tool , the creation of the iso file has overwritten my personal backed up files on the usb. Is there a way that these can be retrieved? Or, can I revert my laptop back as it was? I'm pretty desperate here. Please help!

 

Files missing in confusion between "onedrive app" and "onedrive-personal in finder"....how to retrieve them?

• After Mac upgrade few months back, onedrive app was not working.
  
• Another version of onedrive was installed and it used to show as onedrive-personal in finder.
  
• All files were being stored in this finder folder.
  
• After last week upgrade, finder one-drive disappeared and earlier onedrive app has started working.
  
• Problem is that the files stored in finder onedrive-personal are not to be found in onedrive app.
  
• where do i look for my files saved over the past months and how to retrieve them?
