Windows 10: How do I safely unlink OneDrive on new PC #2 without losing data on PC #1

I have had PC #1 synced with OneDrive for quite some time. I Purchased PC #2 and during set up, I answered “yes“ to “sync with OneDrive”. Several dozen icons from PC #1 immediately populated the desktop of PC #2. How do I clean this up? On PC #2, when I choose “Unlink this PC” it warns me that online only files will be removed. How can I start over with PC #2 without losing data on PC #1?Right now, with both PCs synced, if I remove a desktop icon on PC #2, it gets removed online and on PC #1.I did not realize that both desktops would be synced.Second question:After I safely start over on PC #2

Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.

 

How do I unlink OneDrive and move files to PC WITHOUT losing cloud stored items

My OneDrive is full (everything is OneDrive, my desktop, etc. I must have unknowingly set it up this way). I want to move all contents to my PC and unlink OneDrive. When I read the many forums, I'm finding old information or different information than how
things appear on my computer. My big worry is losing all the cloud files. So I started to unlink OneDrive; however, when I am about to click "Unlink" it says my files will be REMOVED. The tutorials I've seen say, at the same point of unlinking, that a copy
of the files will be left on the PC. I don't want to lose anything. Please advise. I know how to move files but this is confounding me. Thanks.
