    How do I save/restore Album or Collection settings in Photos


    I am transferring from Mac to Windows simply because of hardware affordability. Mac's Photo app keeps its album info together with the actual photos, within one photo "library". I'm transferring my photos over to Windows 10's Photos app. I made specific albums and collections with titles. However, if I remove the actual photos (the JPG files), and re-add them to the "Documents" folder (I am simulating a data loss and recovery), the Photos app loses the settings I had made. Is there a way to save them somehow? Thank you.

    when I have photos in collection and create an album...why do they not stay saved after I delete from collection....?????

    take photographs out of the folders they have been put into

    You can manually move photos to, e.g., My Pictures folder but It is not possible to stop the photos creating in album/collection. This is how the photos are sorted out and arranged in the photo app. If you save a photo's folder it will add it in albums
    and also shows in collection.

    The Photos app will create automatic photo albums based on time, location, but users cannot create albums manually.
