Windows 10: How do I scan to a network drive via RDP?

Hi, we have scanners connected to local computers that log into the terminal server via mstsc/remote desktop but we cannot scan whilst in the remote desktop session and save directly to a network drive.Is this even possible?We currently have two known options:1. Minimise the RDP window, scan, e-mail to self, open RDP and e-mail, save attached scanned file to network. This takes too much time for the volume of scanning done.2. Currently in practice Have computers connected directly to the network, but any changes to configurations/profiles etc need to be done for each user on each computer s

RDP and Network Connection Drops While on Ethernet

Sam,

1. Even without issuing the ping -t command I will experience a RDP drop and network bottleneck
2. RDP clients are the same version
3. No firewall setup
4. All connecting with the same cables from similar ports

winbox1 has full duplexTrue
winbox2 does not have duplex True

Pretty sure it's something with the network setup, I might reinstall the OS

 

Windows defender custom scan does not scan external drives

I have Defender Windows 10. I tried using custom scan to select and scan external drives. The screen listing the drives comes up, but the "OK" button remains grayed out so unable to scan any of the drives listed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

this hard drive is not connected to my computer, it is connected to my wireless router.

after scanning for hardware changes as you suggested in step one, there is no usb hard drive
listed on my computer, either in the device manager, or in the network list in file manager which includes both computers connected to the router. this computer is recognizing the router, internet, and other computers connected to the router.
it is not recognizing the hard drive connected tot he wireless router.

I checked my wireless router to see if the usb hard drive is discoverable and verified that it is.
