How do I screenshot in Windows 10 with automatic saving using Alt + Shift + S ?

Hello, in Windows 10, Start + PrtSc works fine and saves the screenshot, however when I want to screenshot something specific in a window through Alt + Shift + S, how can I ensure the screenshot is saved automatically without pasting it somewhere or opening the snipping tool and save it through there? It saves a lot of time skipping this process in Windows 11.In Windows 11 it works fine. Screenshot saves into clipboard and it specifically says Automatically saved into the screenshots folder. How can I make it work to skip the manual saving through pasting it into an app in Windows 10 ?

    :)

  2. How to be given option to save screenshot

The screenshot (using Win + Shift + S) is saved automatically to the following folder:

Ref: Screenshot a Portion of the Screen [Winkey+Shift+S]

For each screen snip, two image files would be saved. One is the thumbnail/miniature version (whose dimensions are always 364x180) and the other is the original screenshot.

    Hope that info helps.

    Update:

The future versions of the Windows 11 Snipping Tool will have a built-in option ("Automatically save screenshots") to save snips to the "Pictures\Screenshots" folder automatically. The feature was introduced in Windows 11 22H2 insider build 25211.

  3. screenshots stored automatically to a folder

Hi How do I screenshot in Windows 10 with automatic saving using Alt + Shift + S ? :)

I would like the screenshots that I take with PrtSc and alt+PrtSc to be stored automatically to a folder.

I found that it can be stored to OneDrive "AutoSave Screenshots to OneDrive on Windows 10".

    Steps:

OneDrive, right-click the OneDrive icon on the taskbar and select Settings.

Then select the Backup tab and under the “Screenshots” section, check theAutomatically save screenshots I capture to OneDrive” box and click OK.

How do I screenshot in Windows 10 with automatic saving using Alt + Shift + S ?

No more saving a screenshot when press ALT+PRINT after changing storage place

    Hello,

There are several factors that may cause this issue. To better assist you, we suggest that you answer the following questions:

    • When you press the keys to take a screenshot, can you paste the image to paint or to any photo editor apps?
    • Have you made sure that the auto save screenshot has a check mark in OneDrive? (Right-click OneDrive icon in the notification area> Click Settings> In the Auto save tab> Put a check in
Automatically save screenshots I capture to OneDrive box)
    • What other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, you can also refer to the answer provided by
