Windows 10: How do I see my Admin account again after creating a guest account for Windows 10 Educational

To whom it may concern.


I have a Dell laptop with 8Gb running Windows10 Educational. I created a guest account for my friend. When I go to try to select my account from the menu the only selections are: My friend's account or "Other User". My account does not even show up. When I try to use the normal login password for my account on the other user sellection it says wrong password or username.

This is my query:

How can I regain my Admin account using a guest account as access to my gmail account? Is there a way that I can see all the accounts and then regain control of mine?

Try these steps and you should be able to delete the guest account:

1. Press the WIN + X keys and select "Command Prompt (Admin)" from the Quick Access menu.
2. At the Command Prompt, run this command: Code:

   net user Guest /del

Please reply with the following details to assist you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps:

• What is the complete error message you receive?
  
• Which edition of Windows 10 are you using i.e. Windows 10 Home/Pro?
  

Ideally, if you are using Windows 10 Pro, you can create a Standard account and then, you can change the Group permissions as a Guest for that particular Standard account. The permissions for the Standard user account will be same as for the Guest
account.



Please follow the steps mentioned below to create the account:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type netplwiz and click on
   OK.
   
3. Click on Add and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new user account.
   
4. Now, double click on the newly created user account and click on
   Group Membership.
   
5. Click on the radio button for others and select
   Guest from the drop down list.
   
6. Click on Apply and OK.
