Windows 10: How do I select normal startup and make the apply save the changes permanently?

The problem with this computer is that from the msconfig the normal Start up option will not light up the apply button as a option. When i play around with msconfig, apply lights up and ask to restart the computer for a normal start up. Windows runs perfectuasly when normal start up is applied.the problem is now after start up, Msconfig deselected normal start up and loads "Selected Startup" automatically. <Second picture>For you novice Msconfig is found from the "run" programing. the key board shortcut is the "windows four square key" and the letter "r" pressed at the same time.then yo

Startup Selection Reverts from Normal to Selective Startup

For Windows 10... this is the "normal" startup...

 

cannot return to normal startup in MSCONFIG after running it in diagnostic startup.

I understand you are not able to boot to in normal mode. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Did you follow the below steps to enable the Normal startup?

• Press Windows + R keys from the Keyboard.
• Type msconfig and hit Enter.
• Click on the General tab.
• Select the Normal startup option.
• Click on Apply and Ok.
• Restart the system and check.

If yes, you may follow the below steps to check if the computer boots to selective startup:

• Press Windows + R keys from the Keyboard.
• Type msconfig and hit Enter.
• Select the General tab.
• Select the Selective startup option, check the box for load startup services, load startup items, use original boot configuration will be enabled.
• Restart the computer.

If it boots successfully to selective startup then you can boot to normal startup from selective startup.

Please check the above scenario and get back with the results.

Unable to change from selective startup to normal Startup

My computer keeps locking up. When I type it does not always show all the letters. I asked about that problem here and was told to check msconfig to make sure it was set to normal. I checked and it shows it is set to selective startup. I changed it to normal
startup and it will not except. When I click on apply after selecting normal startup it goes back to selective startup before I click OK. I think this might be part of the problem with my computer. Any idea why it would do that. I have not even looked at msconfig
until now so I did not change it to selective.
