  2. My computer shut down after just a few minutes at rest. How can I change the time off settings?

    Hi, Mitchell Hollingsworth

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

If you want to change the time before your Windows 10 computer shuts down when it's at rest, we suggest that you can adjust the power and sleep settings by following these steps:

    1. Open Settings: Click the Start button, then select the Settings icon (shaped like a gear).
    2. Navigate to System: In the Settings window, click on "System."
    3. Access Power & Sleep Settings: On the left side, click on "Power & sleep."
    4. Adjust Sleep and Screen Settings: Under the "Screen" and "Sleep" sections, you can set the time for your screen to turn off and your computer to go to sleep when it's running on battery and when it's plugged in. Adjust these settings to your preference.
    5. Additional Power Settings: For more detailed power settings, click on "Additional power settings" under "Related settings" to open the Power Options menu in the Control Panel. Here, you can choose or customize a power plan. To prevent the computer from shutting down automatically, ensure that the sleep settings are adjusted accordingly and that the "Turn off the display" option is set to a preferred time.
    6. Change Plan Settings: Next to your selected power plan, click on "Change plan settings." Here, you can adjust the turn off the display and put the computer to sleep options for both on battery and plugged in states.
    7. Advanced Power Settings: For even more options, click on "Change advanced power settings." In this dialog, you can expand the "Sleep" settings to adjust the "Sleep after" and "Hibernate after" settings. Make sure these are set to your preferred times. Also, check the "Power buttons and lid" settings to control what happens when you press the power button or close the laptop lid.
After making the adjustments, click "Apply" and then "OK" to save your changes. These steps should help you control when your computer goes to sleep or shuts down automatically. If your computer is shutting down completely rather than going to sleep, you might want to check the "Choose what the power buttons do" settings in the "System Settings" section of the Power Options menu to ensure it's set to sleep rather than shut down.

We hope the above steps can be helpful to you!

    Sincerely

  3. Fluctuating Time Zone Setting

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

I would suggest you to check if the values for “set time automatically” and “set time zone automatically” under Date and Time settings are “ON”. If not, then suggest you to make the vale to “ON” and check for the status.

If the issue still persists, follow the steps provided below:

    • Press Windows key + R, type services.msc and press Enter.
    • Locate Windows Time from the list and double click on the service.
    • In Genereal tab, set the Startup type to Automatic.
    • Click on Apply and OK.

Hope the information is helpful. Feel free to write to us for any other assistance with Windows, we’ll be glad to assist you.

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
