    How do I set a volume cap?


    As in, can I set a max limit lower than 100 volume in Windows settings? If not, why is this not a feature? Highly sensitive headphones can be very damaging to eardrums at higher volumes and allowing a hard limit to be set by the user can help to prevent this. Additionally, I have recently experienced a bug with connected hardware supported by another successful company that caused the volume to go up and down autonomously, causing me a great deal of pain with no way to resolve it but by removing my headphones and rebooting the PC immediately. This is not optimal. I am using Windows 10 22h2 and

    This is likely to be one of those where, as I don't know what you've already tried, I'll have spent time suggesting what you have tried.

    That's why I asked for a clear list of what you have tried.

    Do you see this when you toggle caps lock?

    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.


    • Press Windows Key

    • Type Settings

    • Click on Ease of
      access

    • Select Hear a tone When you press Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock status as
      ON

    How do I set a volume cap?

    Cat killed my CAP LOCK Beep sound :-(

    I've done the steps listed here before joining this forum. None of these work.
    but I do have it setup now to flash the window if I press the caps.
    I may just try the restore option and roll back drivers,,,
