  1. How do I set different scaling for two different screens with Windows 11 Enterprise?

I recently got a new laptop for work and am having trouble with the scaling. When I plug my laptop into my monitor and adjust the scaling, it applies it to both screens making one too large or one too small when I adjust up or down. How do I set different scaling for each screen with Windows 11 Enterprise?

    :)

  2. Windows 11 - Snipping Tool issue with multiple monitors with different Scale Settings

I had this issue suddenly appear in Windows 11. I use two large monitors and my laptop. When my large monitors had different scaling (125% to 100%) I had the issued on the snipping tool gray area not covering the entire screen. When I set the scaling on both large monitors to 100% (or equal) the problem went away. BTW: the laptop scaling was set at 12% and I didn't change that.

  3. Dual monitors with different DPI settings do not give correct scaling

An issue with DPI scaling arises when using two different scaling factors. The screen with the lower DPI display is fuzzy/blurred (most easily seen in text).

    Hardware and settings

These are the hardware and settings involved:

    • 1x primary 3840x2160 27" monitor with DPI scaling set to 150% (because regular text is unreadable at 27").
    • 1x secondary 1920x1080 24" monitor with DPI scaling set to 100%, displaying blurry text and images at these settings.
    Workarounds

When I use the same DPI scaling on both monitors the display shows correctly. This gives two undesirable workarounds:

    • Setting 100% DPI scale on the UHD screen fixes display, but makes text unreadably small on this monitor.
    • Setting 150% DPI scale on the HD screen fixes display, but makes text so large I barely have any screen space left on this monitor.
Is there per chance a better solution to this problem? Is this a Windows bug or am I using DPI scaling in the wrong way?

EDIT: Here's the system info from dxdiag just in case.

How do I set different scaling for two different screens with Windows 11 Enterprise?

Win11 how to set different resolutions on different screens?

    Hi there LSXXX,

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with Teams on your laptop screen. Let's see if we can make things easier to read by adjusting your screen resolution.

Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Different Resolutions on Different Screens in Windows 11

    Open Display Settings:

Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings.

Alternatively, go to Settings > System > Display.

    Identify Your Displays:

In the Display settings, you’ll see a diagram of your screens labeled with numbers. Click on Identify to see which number corresponds to your laptop screen.

    Select Your Laptop Screen:

Click on the screen that represents your laptop. This will highlight that screen and bring up its settings.

    Change the Resolution:

Scroll down to the Scale and layout section.

Click on the Display resolution dropdown menu and select a lower resolution to make everything larger.

    Apply the Changes:

After selecting the new resolution, click Apply.

A prompt will appear asking if you want to keep these display settings. Click Keep changes if the new resolution works for you.

    Verify Other Screens:

Make sure the resolution of your other monitors remains unchanged. If needed, select each monitor and verify their resolutions in the same way.

Please let me know if this helps or if you've already tried this. I have another possible solution if needed.

    Best regards,

    Gyula
