Windows 10: How do I set the duration of custom audio in the Photos app?

I'm trying to make a simple music video with a still image and a .wav music file. The music only plays for 3 seconds and cuts off, and I can't see a way of allowing the whole of the track to play.

How to add custom audio to pictures in video project

Working on a video project in Windows 10 Photo App.

1. created a new project folder
2. imported 6 JPGs
3. created a Storyboard starting with a title card

Created audio:

1. clicked on Custom Audio
2. made 10 second recording to go with the title card
3. clicked Done, it created an m4a file and stored it in my Documents/Recordings folder

How do I import the audio file into my project and merge it with the title card?

1. the m4a file name is 1 - Title card
2. the duration is 13 sections
3. I changed the duration of the Title card on the Story Line to 13 seconds

Looked for instructions about

1. how to import m4a file into my project - found nothing
2. how to merge jpgs with m4as - found nothing

How can I create Custom Audio and merge it with the jpgs on my Storyboard and save it to a video file?

 

There is a bug in WP7 Calendar when setting a custom duration

It is like the phone does not like having a meeting duration of greater than 4 hours.

I am able to set a custom 4 hour meeting duration, but not a custom 5 hour meeting duration.

 

Adding my music to a custom video on Microsoft Photo app

1. May I know, if you are facing this issue with all the audio file?
   
2. Which audio format are you adding?
   

The steps you performed are correct and that should play the audio.

Follow are the few details you can check.

Method 1:

1. Try to add different mp3 audio file and check.
   
2. Check if the sound is playing in other app.
   
3. Try to run Windows Store app troubleshooter from Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot.
   
4. You can reset Photo app from
   Settings > Apps > Select Photo > Advance option > Reset.
   

Method 2:

If you still face the issue, save you project on different location, uninstall and reinstall photo app.

1. Search for PowerShell form the start menu, right click and run it as administrator.
   
2. Copy and paste the following command.
   
3. Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.Photos | Remove-AppxPackage
   
4. Open Store, search for Windows Photo App and reinstall the app.
