    How do I set up a new computer laptop using the data files on My Passport Ultra?


    I currently have an Dell Inspiron 17. I backed up the information from this laptop to my My Passport Ultra. How can I set up a new Dell Inspiron 16 laptop using My Passport?

    Transferring files to new computer using My Passport Ultra and Wndowas 10 issue

    My old computer is an HP Pavilion with Windows 10 Home Edition. Yesterday purchased Lenovo with Windows 10 Home. After running a backup on old tower the files appeared to have transferred or backed up to the My Passport Ultra, however upon trying to restore
    on new computer now files (nothing at all) is on the My Passport Ultra. What is the best way to move my selected files/data from our old tower to machine to the new one? Thanks in advance for your time.

    WD Ultra Passport

    Before sending my laptop in for repair I backed up all the information on a WD My Passport Ultra external harddrive. HP replaced my laptop with a new one. I downloaded several of the files from the passport to the laptop. When i went to open the files
    nothing showed up except a message that said I needed to find an app. Does anyone know what I need to do o open the files?

    Hi,

    I have a WD passport ultra which I was using with my old laptop for the backup. Now I got a new laptop with Windows10 and I was trying to retrieve those backed up (on old laptop) files on my new laptop. In the new laptop I could able to install WD Smartware
    and launched the app. Now it shows the same back up retrieve options, but I face couple of problems.

    1) My back up of files from new laptop is too slow.

    2) I see there is other back up (Which is from my old laptop), but I don't see any option to select the other back up to copy from the WD passport to my new laptop.

    Any help/tips to copy that old data to my new laptop is appreciated.
