    HP ENVY 5530 scanner will not scan to a e-mail. Copies, but not scans to e-mail. Scans to computer, but not e-mail.

    My HP Envy5530 will not scan to a e-mail. Will scan to the computer. Will copy.

    scanning into e-mail

    Just tried this on my HP Envy and I'm assuming your Officejet follows more or less the same procedure.

    • Press Scan to Email
    • Printer connects to Internet
    • Printer asks for my email address
    • I type in email address
    • Printer sends a PIN to that email address
    • I enter the PIN on the printer
    • Printer then scans the document
    • Printer then sends the scan to my email address

    Whatever OS I am using has no impact whatsoever on this process - I could be using Windows, MACos or Linux - it doesn't matter.

    Therefore this is an HP problem not Windows. You need to go back to the HP support and tell them exactly what happens.
