Windows 10: How do I set up my old laptop and recover office?

Hi, I’ve just purchased a new laptop. I set it up and signed in with my Microsoft account and all was fine. I then switched on my old laptop to find it asking for my Microsoft log in and then to set up the laptop with a trial of office, however, I paid for this years ago when I bought the laptop. My daughter is planning on using it with the office software. How do I get the software back and the laptop back to how it was before I set up the new one? I don’t have any kind of software key that I am aware of.Also, how many times can you sign in with the Microsoft account? Will it kick me off of m

Need some help. Old HDD. New laptop.

Yes, that would be a favorable solution if possible. But it requires what I said as a first step. Once he gets booted into the OS, then he can either use it as is or try to recover the product key. I'm not saying he couldn't do what you said, I was replying to another post that suggested simply copy/pasting documents from the old hard drive.

Can not afford an upgrade.
My Office files are old, dont know what version.
Cant remember how I updated this laptop to Windows 10 months ago.
PROBLEM:

I looked for my Windows old file as suggested, and it IS gone.
Haveing a small breakdown, will step away and return in a few...ANY DIRECTIONS AND ANSWERS WOULD BE GREAT!!!!!! PLEASE WRITE THEM IN STEP BY STEP FORMAT. Thankyooouuuuuuuu!
