Windows 10: How do I share a keyboard made in micorsoft keyboard layout creator on windows 10

earlier today I made a custom keyboard, and it works great, however it downloaded a large folder but only had me use 1 file from it to install the keyboard. is there an easier way of sharing it then zipping the folder and sending it to them? would it work if I just sent the file it had me use to install it?
