    In windows 10, I was able to show an image of the contents of a folder that was viewable without opening the folder. When I set the image in Windows 10, the folder looked like it was partially opened to the right and the "contentss image" showed in the opened folder - now, all the "work-arounds" produce somewhat useless options of tiny lines of the tops of images in a folder that open "toward" the user - Is there a way to duplicate the old way of showing the contents in the folder that was available in Windows 10 by manipulating settings - or a program that is either free or for purchase tha

    Make Contents of Folder be an image

    I have an HP Pavillion laptop, and the recovery folder has no files, but the HP logo, and some text warning about the folder.

    How is it possible to hide the folder contents, and show a background image like the HP Recovery folder?

    Moved a folder from another drive and rename and it still shows as the old folder name in certain places

    Hi Nick,

    I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check the behavior.

    • Create a new folder name it as 'My Videos'.
    • Now copy/cut and paste the contents which are in the folder "Videos", and delete the folder "Videos".
    • Now check the behavior.

    Thumbnail previews are added in Windows Insider Preview 22557+. They are not available in 22533 unless you did a typo.
