  1. How do I solve a corrupt windows security history?


    It looks as if Windows Defender enters in some kind of loop. It detects the wacatac trojan in a pdf file in the temp folder. These pdf files are created by a program I suspect it's windows defender and next they are deleted again. Then Windows Defender gives me a notification that it detected the wacatac trojan. I scanned the system with Malware, bytes, Eset online scan, FRST64, MSERT, TotalAv, Avast, adwcleaner and rkill, also I used windows defender offline scan, but all come up with a clean system. Nevertheless, windows security keeps producing a trojan detection. When I disable Windows d

  2. File history on USB security user access

    Hi,

    To isolate this concern, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

    • Open File History folder.
    • Select all the files that you don't want to be accessed.
    • Right-click on the highlighted files and choose Properties.
    • Go to Security tab.
    • Click on Advanced.
    • Select all the user account that you don't want to have access on your File History folder.
    • Click on Disable inheritance.
    • Lastly, click on OK.

    Turn on File History in Windows 10

    Hi,

    To address your concern, we suggest that you turn off File history then add the drive again.


    To turn off File History, please follow these steps:

    • Click the Start​ button, select Settings.
      Click Update & security.
    • Choose Backupand click More options.
    • See advanced settings, then click the Turn off button.
    Restart the system then turn back on File History and add the drive.

    If the issue persist, run the System File Checker tool. System File Checker
    scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.
