How do I stop a specific breaking update?

'Feature Update for Windows 11 23h2 via Enablement Package' breaks my Windows install. The taskbar buttons don't respond and if I use the Windows key to open the search, I can't type into the search bar nothing appears. I've tried everything suggested for this problem before realising that the only thing that works is uninstalling that update. Then I can immediately use the taskbar/search again. How do I stop it from downloading forever? I currently have all updates paused and will continue to do that because tbh I don't have time to troubleshoot a broken OS without a taskbar or searchbar. T

  2. Windows 10 Pro and Ergnomic Break Reminder

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

Do you remember installing any break reminder software?

It looks like it is a pop up from a break reminder software.

I suggest you to look for this in Programs in features and uninstall it if do not use it.

    Try the following steps:

    • Press Windows + R keys to open Run Command

    • Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter

    • Search for the programs and un-install it.

    Regards,
