How do I stop Antimalware Service Executable from using a lot of my resources?

Today I ran a full scan of my computer, I usually do Quick Scans and there was no problem with that.

But when I ran a Full Scan today, it found some minor threats and took action against it. The action's taken, everything's over. But why does the "Antimalware Service Executable" still take a lot of my resources in my background?

I've also shutdown and booted my computer again, which didn't do anything, and is still taking up my resources. Any help?

    :)
